Aloha Everyone,

Happy New Year!  As Mom's condition is medically starting to stablize and we don't have a lot to report on a daily basis, we have decided that I am going to write an update a little less often, perhaps every other day or three times a week.

Today Mom was feeling still a little weak and we spoke to the doctor about getting some medication to stimulate her appetite.  He thought that was a good idea and said that lack of appetite is a common symptom of cancer.  Hopefully this will stimulate Mom to eat some more which will translate into getting stronger.

The doctor spent a while with us this afternoon, answering all of our questions and advised us that the radiation therapy has made some progress in reducing the size of the tumor.  Hopefully next week we will get to find out when the oncologists plan to do the next round. 

We expect tomorrow to be a quiet day as well and it to pick up and get back top normal after the holidays are all over.  Greg is going home tomorrow so I'll take a break and take him to the airport.
