Hi everyone,

Mom has been home 5 days now and is enjoying her time in her own bed with her view. We have mastered our routine of medication, the bedpan, bathing and clothes changes all in bed as she doesn't have much strength to get up out of bed. Mom is such a wonderful patient, I couldn't be more blessed.  The hospice nurses come twice a week and we will have a aide to come help us with sheet changes and other tasks next week.  I also ordered an in-bed hair washing basin and hope to put that into use as soon as it gets here. Today was spa day so I trimmed her nails and applied a much needed new coat of Atomic orange polish on her toes. 

Having this king sized bed is awesome because we can go to her and have our morning "coffee klatch" as Auntie K calls it , her movie time with Auntie and Nic or share Dad's afternoon "laydown", aka nap, lol!! 

Mom loves all the cards and well wishes she has been receiving however finds it hard to talk on the phone (it makes her cough) and is not really up to visiting. Thank you for all your support, prayers and love.
