Sunday

Today dad, Greg and I came over to see Mom and Auntie K stayed home with a cold.  I sit here in Mom's room right next to her writing this and she says hi to everyone.  She is right next to me sitting up in bed filing her nails, and drinking her Jamba Juice, something she has not done for a long time :)  We called Den today and he got to talk to Mom and that was so wonderful for both of them.
The great news is that when we got here Mom was back from PT and went to the gym and stood in the parallel bars.  She actually stood three times, one in therapy and twice for transfers.  This is what really makes me happy.  Yesterday she told one of the doctors she would walk out of here in two weeks and she has her mind set on that.  The therapists also took her outside and it was the first time she was in the fresh air for over a month.  That made her cry, tears of joy as she knows she is getting better.

We are getting ready to go home in a bit but will leave Mom with a nice turkey dinner.  She has real potatoes and gravy and veggies nothing that looks like mystery meat and baby food so hopefully that will stimulate her appetite a bit.

Mom will spend the rest of the day getting ready for tomorrow as she has another busy day with PT x2 and radiation therapy.
