Aloha all,

Today was a planning type of day for all of us.  Yesterday I think I reported that Mom was downgraded from acute care status to SNF status.  She moved rooms downstairs and then moved again this morning as the room she was in was right next to the nurses station and pretty noisy. This morning she also had a CT scan and radiation.  Hopefully we'll be able to give that report tomorrow.  Needless to say she was tired and hopefully was able to get in some therapy this afternoon.

The planning part means that because of the medical status, Mom will most likely move to another facility to complete her rehab.  Being in bed for as long as she has, takes a lot out of a person and she needs to get a little stronger before she comes home.  It's possible that she would stay at Maui Memorial but we will know either tomorrow or Monday, after the holiday weekend.  Dad and I are working with the social worker and case manager to get the best situation we can for Mom to complete her recovery and rehab and will let you all know as soon as we have a plan.
