Aloha All,

I am writing from Mom's bedside.  Dad says we have three kind of days, good days, bad days and nothing days.  Today is a good day. When we arrived, Mom was awake for the most part and we were able to communicate a little better with her.  She is still on the breathing machine so we do a lot of guessing and she was able to write a little today.  We visited and talked to her for about 2 hours and then she was pretty worn out and went back to sleep. We even got a few chuckles out of her.

Today she is having her 4th radiation treatment and Dr. Burton is hoping to look tomorrow to see if they can remove the breathing tube.  Then they can really get at this thing.  Although she is sedated a lot of the time, Mom is aware of what is going on and knows what the plan is.
