Thursday

Today was a good day!  Didn't get the CT results in by the time we left the hospital and also didn't hear from the case worker so that most likely means Mom won't be moving anywhere this holiday weekend (which is a good thing).  Also no radiation today as they were having problems with the machine.

When we pulled up to the hospital we were greeted by Mom's PT calling us from the door.  Mom had seen us pull up from the gym.  She did 5 minutes on the NuStep machine, walked from her bed to the door (about 10 ft) in her room, another 6 or so ft to show off for us when we got there and about 6 sit-stand transfers.  She is improving!!

About lunch time she decided she was hungry for a filet-o-fish from McDonalds so Greg ran out to get one and we had a picnic in her room.  She was talking about the future and was really positive today.  That makes us all happy. 

Over the weekend hopefully we can get some good therapy and the OT folks want to do shower training which I'm sure Mom will love, a REAL shower, something she has not had in almost 6 weeks.  With some more improvement and strength, hopefully Mom can bust out of that place pretty soon.
