Thursday

Today was another good day!  Dad stayed home to wait for the plumber and to take a day off as he has not had one since Nov 22nd and Auntie K and I went to the hospital.  When we went in, Mom was bright eyed and bushy tailed and Auntie said if she'd have had her hair fixed and make-up on she would have looked like her regular self (minus the extremity swelling).

We conversed with Mom for the better part of 3 hours with her initiating much of the conversation.  Her memory was good today and was really glad to hear that her trip to Thailand was only postponed to next year (2012) and not canceled (thanks J & D!) She had a few mixed up things to say but for the most part was real clear and not in any pain.

This afternoon she had a test and then went down to CT scan and radiation for the first one of the agressive treatments as all went well with the mapping yesterday.  Per the nurse just a short time ago, Mom tolerated everything well and was back in her room resting  comfortably. Hopefully they'll bring her chocolate ice cream for dessert.

Looking forward to tomorrow as these baby steps of progress make us all feel good and each of these days is a blessing.
