Tuesday

Today is a good day because we have a plan!  Dad and I spoke to Dr. Cochran (the cardiothoracic surgeon)shortly after we arrived at the hospital and he advised us that he is ordered the stent this morning and hopes to do the procedure Thursday morning.  He will be ordering a straight stent vs. a bifurcated ("Y") stent because when he went in with the scope he was able to see past the blockage and down to the bronchi and didn't feel those needed to have a stent in place. 

Mom was resting comfortable for the most part today and sleeping much more than she was awake.  She did go for radiation treatment number 5 and the nurses were coming to check her IV lines so our visit was cut short a little today.  Just as well so Mom can get her rest an Dad and I too as we got home a little earlier today.

I continue to go in her room and give her a special kiss on her forhead from you all and continue to pass on your well wishes.
